Hokkaido - 

  Hokkaido is one of the four main islands of Japan. In Hokkaido,

  summers are cool and winters are long and severe. Heavily forested

  mountains tower over extensive plains in the Ishikari-heiya and

  Tokachi-gawa river basins.



Sapporo -

  Sapporo was established as a planned city in 1869 and became the

  capital of the prefecture in 1886. Major products include processed

  food, wood items.
